My heart is at the beach.

This image means so much to me. Art can be made anywhere at any time, with nothing but the objects around you. As a young child, I spent many days on the California beaches where we have many different colored rocks. I learned that by scraping rocks together you can make marks. Each rock has a unique color against another rock. As I sat alone on this beach in 2022, I found myself scraping little hearts representing my love for the beach. These scrapings wipe away with your finger, just as the waves wipe away our footprints. Remembering impermanence, and that we are only here for a moment. I captured this moment with my camera and left the art for other beach goers to enjoy.
My Approach
